Victoria and I took a walk the other day a few miles deep into the woods near our campus. We found a beautiful bright tree in the middle of the shadows, white in comparison to the rest, and wore a crown of golden leaves that contrasted with the deep dark green above. She was a mother, a queen, a goddess. We put our ears to her bark.
"Trees are living without a heartbeat," Vicky said. And sure enough, I heard not a heartbeat, but a voice coming from this queen's being that echoed, "My elegance is to be felt, and not heard." I'm pretty sure the rest of the forest knew it, too. (Vicky took this one of me.) |

My best advice is to do some discerning of the heart and deep contemplation, if I really see it as a problem of course. Also, remain teachable, and keep an open mind.
